I love justserve.org

Ross and I love justserve.org - you can post a project when you need volunteers
or find a project so you can be a volunteer!

This wonderful group of people created a float for the Mapleton parade and organized a service day full of fun projects for the people who live in Mapleton. Hundreds of volunteers showed up and just served.

Joshua Moody leaves on a mission

My grandson Joshua Moody left for his mission today.
My daughter Alisa and my grandson Joshua were born hours apart. They have grown up together.
This is the first time in eighteen years that they will be apart. We send out missionaries to declare the good news of Jesus Christ and his gospel and to learn to serve and love those wonderful souls living in this mission.
My grandson Josphua Moody was set-apart to be a missionary
for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last night by his father Dallan Moody.
We are his grandparents and have watched him grow up for eighteen years.
This is Joshua being dropped off at the missionary training center in Provo Utah to begin his two year mission.
Missions are paid for by the missionary and/or his parents with a great sacrifice of money and time.
Joshua will leave behind one brother Caleb  and one sister Catherine in heaven and two brothers Matthew and Mitchell
along with his loving parents April and Dallan.

Visiting Childhood Homes

This is the home where I lived from the age six months to eight years old in Union. (1954-1962)
This home is all that remains of the
charming neighborhood where I grew up.

Now this little house is surrounded
by commercial buildings on all sides.
The family who bought it from my parents
still has family members living there.
This is the home where my family lived
when I became engaged and married.
Ross and I were married and sealed
in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27th 1975
and had our reception in the back yard.
The southern Utah mural my mother painted
under the deck is still there but a little faded.
That alcove is where we formed our wedding guest line.
My husband asked me to marry him while we were parked in front of this home one night in March
two months after returning from mission to Samoa.
Marrying Ross was the best decision I ever made.
Happy anniversary honey!
